Havant Borough Council and East Hampshire District Council required a secure online platform to support shared services and to allow their project and programme teams to collaborate on documents.
They found that using a basic installation of SharePoint didn’t provide all they needed and that using email resulted in important changes to documents being missed. After trialling a number of platforms, Kahootz was chosen.
To deliver projects and programmes for their public sector clients, Local Partnerships required a secure platform to share a large number of confidential documents.
They felt that their previous file sharing provider was not meeting their requirements. It was expensive, not user friendly and was very difficult to set up.
When their 12-month contract ran out, they were happy to review alternatives and soon decided to choose Kahootz.
Kahootz are back from Civil Service Live 2014 and we had a fantastic time helping the public sector and civil servants to “learn share collaborate”! Not only was it a pleasure to see so many new faces, but the increase of interest in working smarter and the adoption of cloud technology, especially in collaboration, was inspiring.
The Department of Health (DH) has selected the Kahootz cloud collaboration service from online collaboration specialist INOVEM Limited as part of a shared service programme that delivers more cost-effective ICT infrastructure and team working options for its staff, its Arm’s Length Bodies (ALBs) and Non-departmental Public Bodies (NDPBs).
Today we’re excited to share the news that we have launched the Kahootz Knowledgebase! With over 150 pages of content, looking at the functionality of Kahootz, commonly asked questions and solutions to your business problems, we are continuing to make collaboration as easy as possible.
Competition for secure IL2 cloud collaboration services through the G-Cloud CloudStore increases as Kahootz.com receives Pan Government Accreditation (PGA) from the UK Cabinet Office and CESG, the National Technical Authority for Information Assurance.
On Saturday 9th March I had the privilege to attend UKGovCamp 2013, the free annual ‘unconference’ for people interested in public sector digital engagement. As the event was quickly sold out many were unable to attend so hopefully my report might be of use.
The day started with impassioned delegates pitching to fill the 35 sessions throughout the day. Everyone was then free to select which sessions to get involved with. As always, with 7 parallel sessions, it was tough to choose from the diverse set of public sector digital engagement subjects available. With everything we are doing to support the UK G-Cloud and having our service’s security pan-government accredited, I decided to attend the sessions on G-Cloud Security, Hacking Government websites and Talking about G-Cloud procurement.
Following nomination as a finalist in the Social & Collaboration category by the SSA12 UK Business Software Industry Awards — and very nearly pipping the much larger software giant Salesforce to the top spot — results from an independent benchmarking survey show Kahootz has emerged as best of breed in terms of both reliability and quality of support. Read the benchmarking report and client feedback here.
